Texas ERS approves $75m commitment

Employees Retirement System of Texas has agreed to commit $75 million to Campus Real Estate Partners II, a contact at the pension informed PERE. Campus Apartments’ value-add fund focuses on student housing investments in the United States.

The $28.67 billion US public pension has a 9.0 percent target allocation to private real estate that currently stands at 7.56 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, Texas ERS has committed to three real estate funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $250 million.
