Equity International's Wei joins Pacific Alliance

Song Wei has left Chicago-based Equity International to become a managing director at Pacific Alliance Group, the Hong Kong-based alternative assets management firm.


Song Wei has left Chicago-based Equity International to become a managing director at Pacific Alliance Group, the Hong Kong-based alternative assets management firm.

Hong Kong-based alternative assets management firm Pacific Alliance has appointed Song Wei as a managing director for its Pacific Alliance China Real Estate business.

Wei joined the platform from Chicago-based Equity International where he was responsible for originating and executing investments in mainland China.

Before joining Equity International in 2006, Wei worked for Equity Office Properties Trust. Prior to that, he was the founder and managing director of the Anija Group, a Chinese mortgage brokerage company. He has also held roles in the energy trading and mezzanine finance sectors.

Pacific Alliance Group, formed in 2002, manages more than $4 billion of capital on behalf of institutional investors from Europe, the US and Asia.
