CTPF issues RFP for private equity and real assets consultants

The US public pension is seeking a consultant for its private equity and real assets portfolio.

Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund issued a request for proposal on January 12 for all qualified professional firms interested in providing general real assets or private equity investment consulting services to the system. The current consultant is eligible to compete for the new contract.

The selected firm will provide performance and manager monitoring; performance measurement and reporting; manager research and recommendations; asset allocation and liability studies; and perform manager searches as necessary or requested. These, among other responsibilities, will be conducted on behalf of the $11.8 billion pension, according to the RFP.

The RFP is currently posted on the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund website.

As illustrated below, the pension has a 4.0 percent allocation to private equity and 10.10 percent to real assets.
