CPPIB backs data center strategy

The Canadian pension fund gains exposure to data centre investment through the new partnership.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) approved a $350 million commitment to co-invest with Alpha Data Centre Fund (ADCF), together with the option to invest another $150 million.

ADCF, managed by Alpha Investment Partners Limited, targets new and existing data center assets in Asia Pacific and Europe.

CPPIB’s commitment brings the ADCF’s combined and co-investment interest up to $1 billion.
