The Los Angeles-based property services firm has hired Nick Harvey-Jones and Charles Favard as directors in its equity placement team in London.

Los Angeles-based property services firm has hired two executives for its expanding equity placement team in London.

The firm has hired Nick Harvey-Jones from wealth management business Ingman-Jones, and Charles Favard from New Star Asset Management. Both will report to the team’s head Mark Evans.

Harvey-Jones will work in the equity placement division as well as for the structured finance and strategic advisory teams within CBRE’s real estate finance arm. Responsibilities will include fund structuring and primary and secondary equity placement as well as other items.

Favard will lead the firm’s European distribution offer for the Real Estate Finance arm. Focused advising large European indirect institutional investors, he will provide investor relations services “ensuring that investor concerns are managed and relationships with GPs and LPs remain strong.” This will be his second spell at CBRE having worked for the firm in its Paris office prior to moving to New Star.

Philip Cropper, managing director of CBRE Real Estate Finance, said in an announcement on the appointments: “With renewed appetite from institutions to invest in collective investment vehicles, there are real signs of a sustainable recovery in the market and our equity placement team is now well positioned to capitalise on these opportunities. The breadth of Nick and Charles’ expertise in real estate, debt and finance markets greatly complements the dedicated and skilled teams we have in place here.”
