CBRE GIP names COO

The indirect real estate arm of CBRE Global Investors has hired a former Schroders COO to replace Stuart Savidge who left for Surrey-based private equity real estate firm Henley Investments.

CBRE Global Investment Partners, the indirect arm of Los Angeles-based real estate investment manager CBRE Global Investors, has named Gill Roantree as chief operating officer.

Roantree, who joins the firm from London-based property investment manager Mayfair Capital, replaces Stuart Savidge who left to become the chief financial officer of Henley Investments, a Surrey-based private equity real estate firm, in September.

Prior to her time at Mayfair, Roantree was with Schroders, as COO of the real estate investment division.

“Gill brings a wealth of experience and the leadership skills to ensure we have a world class operating platform to support the ongoing growth of our global business,” commented Jeremy Plummer, chief executive of CBRE GIP.

CBRE GIP is an independent division of CBRE Global Investors, the real estate investment business of real estate services giant CBRE. GIP invests in private funds, secondaries, co-investments and joint ventures, partnering with operators and fund managers for each strategy.

GIP has $13.3 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2015.
