The US firm says hiring Rob Trevor as a principal reflects ‘increasing opportunities’ in the UK.

Los Angeles-based Richard Ellis has hired Rob Trevor in the UK for its value-added strategic partners business.

The firm said today Trevor had been made a principal with responsibility for development projects, leasing and executing business plans on existing assets.

He has joined from Helios Properties, a British property company where he was a board director in charge of acquisition, funding, planning and development of new industrial and distribution across sites in the UK.

The firm also revealed a second hire. Oliver Vines joins as an analyst having previously worked for Bank of America.

The strategic partners part of Richard Ellis purchases, repositions, develops, holds for investment and sells institutional quality real estate with a value-added strategy.

Giles King, UK Managing Director, said the new hires would help “develop and exploit the opportunities available in the UK real estate sector”.
