CalPERS elects new president, vice president

Priya Mathur will serve as CalPERS' first elected female president.

The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) Board of Administration elected Priya Mathur as president and Rob Feckner as vice president, the pension fund announced today in a press release.

Mathur, the first elected female president of the Board, has served as a board member representing public employees since 2002. Currently representing school members, Feckner joined the Board in 1999 and has previously served as president and vice president.

The $358 billion US public pension has a current 19.8% allocation to alternative strategies.
