Cadim COO joins New York’s Stonehenge

Richard Dansereau has joined the firm as managing director to head Stonehenge’s newly created investment management division.

Stonehenge Partners has hired Richard Dansereau, the former president and chief operating officer of Cadim, a division of Canadian pension Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, as managing director.

The New York-based investment firm said in a statement Dansereau had been appointed managing director. He will lead Stonehenge’s newly-created investment management division, responsible for new and existing investor relationships.

Dansereau spent nine years with Cadim, a subsidiary of Caisse that manages the pension’s residential and hotel investments. Dansereau managed a portfolio of more than $10 billion assets, Stonehenge said on its website, and was responsible for Cadim’s offices in Shanghai and New Delhi.

Stonehenge currently owns and manages 2,500 residential rental apartments in New York City and around 700,000-square-feet of commercial, retail and garage space in the city.
