Blackstone promotes Grant, Heady to senior managing director

The New York-based alternative assets business has promoted two from its real estate team to senior managing director as part of a wider raft of promotions across the business.

New York-based private equity and real estate giant has promoted Stuart Grant and Chris Heady to senior managing directors. Both were previously managing directors.

The pair were promoted as part of a wider raft of promotions that saw Blackstone promote 11 new senior managing directors.

Grant previously worked from Blackstone’s London office but relocated to Asia two months ago to oversee the asset management of the firm’s recently enlarged real estate portfolio. Helping Grant to oversee Blackstone’s Asia assets will be Chris Heady, also promoted to senior managing director from managing director. Heady works also works from Hong Kong.

Alongside Grant and Heady, Blackstone also promoted to senior managing director:

Peter Rose, external relations and strategy; Robert Petrini, GSO (credit business), Darren Richman, GSO; Robert McMullan, investor relations and business development; Alexander Moomjy, Park Hill; Shan Fu, private equity; Anjan Mukherjee, private equity; Robert Reid, private equity; and Patrick Bourke, private equity.
