Atlantic-Pacific adds Middle East principal

Mohammad Almojel was previously an associate director at MerchantBridge Private Equity, and sits on the board of the Saudi-British Business Council. He is charged with sourcing capital for private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds.

Placement agent Atlantic-Pacific Capital has hired Mohammad Almojel as a principal on its private funds team. Based in the firm’s London office, Almojel will lead marketing and sourcing efforts for private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds in the Middle East. 

Prior to joining Atlantic-Pacific Capital, Almojel was an associate director at MerchantBridge Private Equity in Dubai.

Almojel is also a director at Al-Mojel Group, a holding company in Saudi Arabia, and he is a board member of the Saudi-British Business Council, an economic assembly aimed at strengthening the relationship between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

“Having a knowledgeable professional on the ground who speaks the regional language and understands the local culture is both unique and valuable in our industry,” Vincent Ng, a partner at Atlantic-Pacific, said in a statement. 

Atlantic-Pacific Capital has acted as placement agent and advisor on 55 transactions, raising around $40 billion in capital. Recent closings for the firm’s clients include Riverside Partners IV and DRI Capital’s Drug Royalty II.
