In all walks of life, 2020 has been tough going. In the private real estate market, the covid-19 pandemic has led to significantly reduced transaction activity and the ripple effect of that has been felt across the sector’s capital markets.

But despite these highly challenging conditions, many firms have continued to do business. And as we get ready to compile the shortlists for our 2020 awards, we want to hear the highlights.

Our annual awards recognize the investors, managers, advisors and individuals that really made a difference in the twelve-month period.

As a reminder, here are our 2019 winners. That was our biggest awards to date, but we expect this year to be even bigger.

This time, we have expanded our award categories from 65 to 68 categories thanks to the creation of regional Debt Firm of the Year awards. This is an acknowledgement from us of the increasing relevance in the market of investment managers raising equity for the purpose of issuing credit over recent years.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 13, 2020. Voting will open in December and the winners will be announced in March 2021.

We are often asked how long to make the submissions. The answer is: please make them brief. We cannot sift through reams of marketing materials. Stick to the headline facts. We want to know about your fundraises, new strategies, corporate movements and, of course, your deals.
