Whitman/Peterson Partners IV approaches $500m

The Californian investment firm has held a fourth close for its latest opportunistic real estate vehicle.

According to a recent SEC filing, Whitman Peterson has raised up to $499.1 million in commitments for its fourth-series real estate fund. Whitman/Peterson Partners IV launched in June 2020, and has attracted interest from a variety of investors, including $103.7 million in commitments from Texas County and District Retirement System.

As with its predecessor vehicle, Whitman/Peterson Partners III, which held a final close in February 2018 after raising $402 million in investor capital, WPPIV will invest in the hospitality, residential and student housing sectors, seeking opportunistic returns across the US.
