VRS approves €75m commitment

The US public pension has backed Europa Capitals' sixth series value-add real estate fund.

Virginia Retirement System has agreed to commit €75 million ($84 million) to Europa Fund VI, a contact at the pension informed PERE. The pan-European vehicle will invest in value-add office and residential property.

The $82.30 billion US public pension has an 8.26 percent allocation to real estate.

As illustrated below, VRS has made six commitments to real estate funds with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $686 million.
