State Universities Retirement System of Illinois has agreed to commit $50 million to Longpoint Realty Fund II, according to the pension’s June press release. Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund has also committed to the fund ($30 million).
SURS Illinois has a 9.0 percent target allocation to private real estate that currently stands at 8.10 percent. The institution’s long-term strategic policy considers its real assets portfolio as part of non-traditional and stabilized growth.
