SDCERS makes a one-time contribution to the pension’s UAAL

The US public pension has made a one-time contribution of $13.8 million.

San Diego County Employees’ Retirement Association announced a one-time contribution of $13.8 million to the county pension plan’s unfunded actuarially accrued liability (UAAL). The impact of which will not be fully understood until the fiscal year 2019 actuarial valuation.

The $12.4 billion US public pension has a 22.2 percent current allocation to alternatives.
