RREEF hires Cerberus co-head of European real estate

The New York-based firm has hired Robert Cervinka as head of asset management and transactions in Germany.

New York-based RREEF has hired the European co-head of Cerberus for its European business.

Robert Cervinka has joined as head of asset management and transactions for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In a statement, RREEF’s chief executive of Global Opportunistic Investments, said the new addition would “create value”.

Cervinka’s previous position was as a managing director for the Cerberus Deutschland Beteiligungsberatung as well as co-head of the European Real Estate Group where he was responsible for opportunistic real estate asset-backed investments.  

Ulrich Steinmetz, who previously held the position, has been named head of portfolio management for the German open end real estate funds, grundbestiz europa and grundbestiz global. RREEF is the alternative asset management business of Deutsche Bank.
