Rockwood Capital has appointed Joe Gorin as its new director and head of office asset management.
The newly-created role will see Gorin oversee the firm’s existing office assets as well as back-up the acquisitions team as it targets office investments. He will be based in San Francisco.
Rockwood has hired a raft of personnel in the past few months, including former JER fund manager Dwight Arnesen.
Arnesen was appointed senior managing director in charge of the firm’s portfolio and asset management group, located in the White Plains, New York office, in September. He was joined by three others including former CBRE Investors’ managed accounts senior managing director Scott Stuckman; ex-BlackRock Realty director Joel Mayer and Marti Breier, previously an associate with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker.
Gorin was recently senior director at GE Real Estate responsible for portfolio asset management and acquisitions in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and South Eastern United States. Between 2000 and 2007, Gorin was vice president at Equity Office.
