Rockspring expands client servicing network

The London-based real estate investment management firm has made appointments in North America, Korea, and the UK to help facilitate the needs of institutional investors keen to commit capital to European investments.

Rockspring Property Investment Managers, the London-based firm with €7.4 billion of assets under management, has expanded its client servicing network.

The firm announced it has appointed High Bigham as head of capital raising and client services for North America, Julianne Cho as client services representative in Korea and Maria Bergliden-French as business development manager in the UK.

Kathryn Dixon, partner responsible for marketing, sales and client services at Rockspring, said the hires were designed to enable further support and develop the firm’s “blue chip global client base”.

Bigham joined Rockspring from Principle Advisory Services, where he worked at its Sydney office for international real estate, infrastructure and private equity managers looking to raise capital from Australian institutions. Working through Strategic Marketing Solutions, a US broker-dealer. He has also worked for UBS, HSBC and Atlantic Pacific Capital.

Cho will aid Rockspring’s efforts to service the needs of its Korea clients, which include the one of the world’s largest state funds, the National Pension Service of Korea. As part of her role, she will develop and distribute various funds and investment products offered by Rockspring. She previously worked for Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors as part of its US acquisitions team.

Bergliden-French will work closely with the firm’s sales directors and fund managers to support new capital raising initiatives. She joined from Barclays Wealth where she held various roles including a position in the bank’s real estate origination team.

Commenting on the firm’s new hires, Dixon said: “Hugh will play a fundamental role in our activities in North America as we look to satisfy the increasing demand from US and Canadian investors seeking to gain pan-European exposure to real estate. Julianne’s real estate experience allows us to provide our Korean investors with a local, on the ground Rockspring presence, which is becoming increasingly important as we work with new investors from the country. Maria brings extensive knowledge of product development in the real estate industry to this role and will be an invaluable support to the team in the pursuit of our fundraising activities globally.”
