Park Madison hires principal

The New York-based real estate placement and advisory firm has recruited Jin Lee for the newly-created role.

Placement agency Park Madison Partners has hired a principal, the firm said Wednesday. The firm has appointed Jin Lee for the newly-created role at the New York-based firm’s headquarters. He will focus on placement and strategic consulting services in the financing and formation of investment products, according to the firm’s announcement.

Prior to this position, Lee founded Probity Investors, a boutique real estate investment advisory firm that worked with private equity funds, operating partners and developers, according to its website. He previously held senior positions at Thayer Lodging Group, HEI Hotels & Resorts and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, according to Park Madison’s statement.

“Jin brings a wealth of real estate underwriting and operating experience that will further enhance the firm’s ability to find best-in-class real estate investment opportunities for institutional investors,” said Nancy Lashine, Park Madison’s founder, in a statement to PERE. “In addition, he will help expand our distribution capabilities generally as well as to international investors looking for opportunities in the US.”

Park Madison, founded in 2006, has placed over $8 billion in private equity capital, according to the firm’s statement. In January, it hired Amy Thiessen as a principal. Thiessen, formerly a managing director at Forbes Private Capital Group, is focusing on global distribution out of the New York office.
