OCERS terminates $68.2m commitment

The US public pension has terminated an open-ended core-focused fund commitment.

Orange County Employees Retirement System approved the termination of a commitment to Jamestown Premier Property Fund; the amount terminated is $68.2 million. OCERS originally made a commitment of $75 million to the fund in July 2015. OCERS and Townsend decided to issue a full redemption of the fund because the fund does not align with OCERS’ sector portfolio objective.

The US public pension has a 37.94 percent allocation to alternative investments with an 8.77 percent current allocation to private real estate.
