Oak Hill Advisors adds CDO expert

The investment management firm has hired former Deutsche Bank director Fritz Thomas to help lead the firm’s businesses development and client coverage activities.

The specialty investment management firm Oak Hill Advisors has appointed Fritz Thomas, former collateralised debt expert at Deutsche Bank, as a managing director.

Thomas will help lead New York-based Oak Hill Advisors’ business development and client coverage activities, and also will play a role in the development of the firm’s structured product investment activities, according to a statement from the firm.

Thomas was a managing director at Deutsche Bank and head of global distribution for CDOs and other alternative investment products. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Thomas structured and syndicated corporate loans at Bankers Trust Company and Chemical Bank.

Oak Hill Advisors, which shares a strategic relationship with Connecticut-based mid-market specialist Oak Hill Capital Partners, manages debt securities through a series of CDOs, investment partnerships and managed accounts. Together with Oak Hill Capital, Oak Hill Advisors manages Oak Hill Special Opportunities Fund, a private distressed investment fund.
