NYSCRF approves commitment of $225m

The US public pension has invested in an Asia-focused fund.

In October 2018, the New York State Common Retirement Fund committed $225 million to ARA Real Estate Partners Asia II. The diversified Asia-focused commingled real estate fund is managed by ARA Asset Management.

The $207.4 billion US public pension has an 8.0 percent target allocation to real estate that currently stands at 6.7 percent.
