Heitman hires three new capital raisers

One of the Chicago-based real estate investment manager’s latest recruits replaces an executive who had served in his role for only three months before leaving in April.

Heitman has added three new hires to its client service and marketing team. Edward Rieger has joined the Chicago-based real estate investment manager as head of global consultant relations, while Anne Westbrook has assumed the role of senior vice president of client service and marketing. The firm also has brought on Eugenie Dadachpour in the newly-created position of vice president of client service and marketing. All three executives will report to James Gruver, managing director of client service and marketing.

Westbrook will be in charge of marketing Heitman’s real estate investment products to institutional investors in the southeastern region of North America. Dadachpour will be responsible for promoting Heitman’s hedge fund offering, Heitman Real Estate Opportunity Fund (HERO), in Europe.

The new recruits are the latest in a series of changes within Heitman’s client service and marketing team. In January, the firm announced that it had hired Gruver as managing director and global sales leader and Tamara Solarich as director of global marketing and communications, while promoting Alan Purser, formerly senior vice president of client service and marketing, to head of global consultant relations. All three were to report to Lewis Ingall, senior managing director and global head of client service and marketing.

However, by April, Purser had already left the role for a position as managing director in Stockbridge Capital Group’s client relations team, responsible for fundraising and new business development for the firm’s core and value-add businesses. In January, Jenna Sheehan, previously a partner and director of client service and marketing at Heitman, joined Harrison Street Real Estate Capital as senior vice president in its client service and marketing group.

Rieger most recently was senior vice president and director of consultant relations at Cohen & Steers Capital Management with global oversight of consultant relationships, while Westbrook previously was employed at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage as a managing director, sourcing capital for the firm’s lending operation. Prior to joining Heitman, Dadachpour was head of marketing and investor relations at London-based hedge fund Fenician Capital Management.
