Park Madison hires partner from MetLife

Amy Cummings is focusing on broadening the placement agency’s North American investor relationships.

Park Madison Partners has tapped a MetLife executive as the firm’s fourth partner, according to a Monday statement.

Amy Cummings started at the New York-based placement agency on Monday in a role that will see her broaden the firm’s North American investor relationships and source new managers. This is a newly created position at the firm.

“Throughout my real estate career, nothing has given me more satisfaction than matching excellent real estate opportunities with qualified investors, many of whom are my good friends,” Cummings said in Monday’s statement. “Park Madison Partners has always stood out for its thoughtful approach, and I am excited to join a team of professionals I so respect and admire.”

Previously, Cummings spent two and a half years as managing director of investor services at MetLife, where she focused on capital raising for the insurance company’s real estate arm, according to her LinkedIn profile. Prior to that, she worked for 15 years at JPMorgan’s real assets business, and earlier was the portfolio manager at Sydney-based Lend Lease Real Estate Investments.

“Amy has been a good friend of Park Madison for many years and is highly regarded throughout the real estate industry,” said Nancy Lashine, Park Madison’s founder. “We are thrilled to have her join us, and believe she will further enhance Park Madison’s reputation as a leader in real estate capital markets.”

The firm’s other three partners include Lashine; Carrie Coulson, who was promoted from principal to partner in May 2016; and Rob Kohn, who rejoined Park Madison as an equity partner in September after three years as a senior vice president at Washington DC-based Akridge. He first worked at Park Madison as a partner from January 2011 to March 2013.
