At $125 million (€102 million), Donald Trump's estate, Maison de l'Amitie, on “Billionaire's Row” in Palm Beach, Florida is far and away the most expensive house for sale in the US, according to Ultimate Homes magazine. The list, which features the 1,000 priciest houses currently on the market, has a combined value of more than $13 billion dollars.

New York boasted the most-expensive houses, concentrated in Manhattan and the Hamptons, followed by California, Florida and Colorado. Though the Spanish/Mediterranean motif remains the most popular style of luxury home, the McMansion flourishes of a few years ago—a media room, granite and marble finishes and Jacuzzis—have all fallen out of favor with luxury home buyers. Once it hits the mass market, it seems, it's time to upgrade.

Of course, there are plenty of nice houses that didn't make the list; as the survey noted, there are now one million homes in the US valued at more than $1 million.

And if The Donald is looking for another place to live, he can always look into his own portfolio. The penthouse at his Trump World Tower in New York City made the top twelve list, squeaking into ninth place with a $58 million price tag.
