LSERS approves $100m in commitments

Louisiana School Employees’ Retirement System has committed $100 million across two private real estate vehicles, as mentioned during the pension’s October 2020 retirement board meeting.

The commitments comprised $50 million each to Maverick Lien Fund VI and HighBrook Property Fund IV. Both commitments are re-ups with the pension’s existing managers.

As illustrated below, LSERS allocates 12.57 percent of its full investment portfolio to private real estate. The pension’s recent commitments to private real estate have been to funds that primarily employ a value-added strategy targeting investments in North America.
