Lehman Bros lawyer leaves for Allen and Overy

David Broderick, who served as senior legal counsel at Lehman’s Global Real Estate Group, has left the Wall Street firm for 'magic circle' firm Allen and Overy.

David Broderick, senior legal counsel at Lehman Brothers Global Real Estate Group who once served as legal advisor to the bank’s real estate private equity funds business has left to join Allen and Overy, one of the so-called 'magic circle' big five lawfirms in the world.

The former Lehman’s counsel has joined Allen and Overy’s US real estate practice which primarily focuses on real estate debt and equity investments for domestic and international private equity funds, financial institutions and real estate investors.

Kevin O’Shea, managing partner of the law firm’s New York office and head of its US Real Estate practice, said the firm was expanding and required highly-skilled senior lawyers with experience of complex capital markets structures and restructuring.
