LaSalle appoints Asia research head

The real estate investment management business of the property services firm JLL has hired Elysia Tse as head of research and strategy for Asia-Pacific.

LaSalle Investment Management has appointed Elysia Tse as head of research and strategy for Asia-Pacific.

Tse will be working closely with the global strategy team, led by Jacques Gordon. The team analyzes regional economic trends and property markets in 150 cities across 30 countries, and works with clients to formulate investment strategies.

Tse will report to Mark Gabbay, LaSalle's Asia Pacific chief executive, who is based in Hong Kong, and Chicago-based Gordon.

“Elysia's arrival marks a key appointment at LaSalle as we bolster our strategy capabilities in Asia Pacific to support the fund management teams and help identify opportunities in the region for our global investors,” commented Gabbay.

Tse joins Lsalle from JP Morgan Asset Management where she was head of research and strategy – real estate asia. She has previously  worked at LaSalle and was a member of the firm's Americas research and strategy group between 2002 and 2005.

Tse has also worked on research and strategy at Citigroup Property Investors and BlackRock in New York.
