JER promotes four

The McLean, Virginia-based firm has promoted Devin Chen to head of lodging and US hotels, along with three other executives.


JE Roberts Companies has promoted four exectives to managing director, including Devin Chen who will take charge of the firm’s lodging strategy and US hotels investment.

Based at JER's headquarters in McLean, Virginia, Chen will oversee almost 200 properties with more than 24,000 rooms. He joined the firm in 1999 and has been involved in a number of its real estate investment strategies in the US and Europe.

Before joining JER, Chen worked held investment banking positions at Bank of America Securities and the sales and trading division of Morgan Stanley.

JER has also promoted Mike Cocanougher to managing director the firm's special servicing operation. He is currently responsible for a portfolio of approximately $4.3 billion of loans.

Andy O’Brien has been made managing director overseeing JER’s administrative functions including facilities, technology and human resources, and Clyde Robinson has been promoted to managing director responsible for the firm’s capital markets, client relations and communications functions.
