INREV director goes to Asia on secondment

Andrea Carpenter joins the Asian Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles for three months

ANREV, the Asian Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles, said today that a director from its European counterpart, was joining on a three-month secondment.

Andrea Carpenter, director of professional standards and communications at the European Association for investors in non-listed real estate funds (INREV) will help ANREV implement a cooperation agreement struck between the two organisations, which was announced last December.

ANREV is endorsing the INREV guidelines on transparency and corporate governance in Asia and replicating INREV initiatives such as its vehicles database and programme of research projects.

Nick Loup, chairman of ANREV and chief executive of Grosvenor Asia Pacific, said membership of ANREV had been growing steadily and that it was making progress with rolling out of the INREV guidelines, funds database and fund managers survey.

“All of (these) are important steps towards our goals of improving transparency and best practice standards in Asia,” added Loup.

The association currently has 81 members in nine countries.
