Illinois Teachers’ confirms $150m commitment

Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois has approved a $150 million commitment to Oak Street Real Estate Capital Fund V, a contact at the pension informed PERE. The pension also previously committed $300 million to the manager’s open-ended net lease property fund in August 2019.

The $53.98 billion US public pension has a 13.90 percent allocation to real estate.

As illustrated below, Illinois Teachers’ has made seven commitments to real estate vehicles with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $1.16 billion.
