Heitman, the Chicago-based private equity real estate firm, has hired Rob Reiskin as European co-head to work alongside Otis Spencer. Reiskin joins from AEW Europe, where he was head of investments. Â Â
He will work on the firm's two European property vehicles, the €350 million Heitman European Property Partners, which closed in January 2006, and the €505 million Heitman European Property Partners IV fund.
Maury Tognarelli, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement that Reiskin would help the firm continue to expand its European platform. Gordon Black remains managing director of Heitman’s European private real estate equity group.Â
News of the appointment coincides with a fresh deal for Heitman in the region.
The firm's latest fund, Heitman European Property Partners IV, has formed a 50-50 joint venture with Hungary’s TriGranit Development to own Arena Centar Shopping Center in Zagreb, Croatia. The 180,000-square-metres shopping center, which opened its doors in November 2010, was developed by TriGranit. The transaction includes two land plots that could be used to expand upon the new centre.
