Harrison Street raises $7.42bn

The Chicago firm has raised capital for its open-ended vehicle.

Harrison Street Real Estate Capital raised $7.42 billion for Harrison Street Core Property Fund (open ended), according to a Form D filed by the firm. Capital raised by the vehicle will be used to invest in properties throughout the United States across diversified sectors including healthcare and student housing.

Since its launch, the fund has received commitments from several institutional investors, including $100 million from Indiana Public Retirement System and $150 million from Oregon State Treasury.
