Greystar Real Estate Partners raises $1.2bn

Greystar Real Estate Partners has raised $1.2 billion for its Greystar Equity Partners IX, according to a SEC filing. The Charleston-headquartered firm began fundraising in 2015 with a $1 billion target.

Its previous fund raised $800 million in 2014.

Investors that committed to Greystar Equity Partners IX include the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund and the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System.

The fund will target value added opportunities in multifamily/residential sectors in the United States.
