GE Capital appoints real estate head in Asia

GE Capital Real Estate has appointed Francois Trausch as CEO, Asia Pacific. Trausch was previously head of GE Capital’s Western European real estate platform.


GE Capital Real Estate has appointed a new chief executive officer for its Asia Pacific business.

The real estate investment business of GE Capital has appointed Francois Trausch to the role from his previous position as head of Western Europe, which he held since 2008. He joined the firm in 1996 and has also held roles at the company including managing director of GE Capital Real Estate France.

Trausch, who also has also worked for Goldman Sachs and Tishman Speyer, is to be based in Tokyo.

GE Capital Real Estate is one of the largest real estate managers in the world with more than $80 billion in assets under management although Asia is one the regions it has least exposure. More than $35 billion of its assets are in the US, while more than $15 billion are in Europe.
