Gerald Parkes, former head of Lehman Brothers private equity real estate in Europe, has teamed up with British property veteran Sir John Beckwith to scout investment opportunities in Europe.
According to the Financial Times, Parkes has joined Beckwith, who has a number of companies including Thames River Capital.
The article gives no information on the type of investment vehicle being considered, but added they were exploring options to take advantage of the depressed market conditions.
Parkes resigned from Lehman Brothers in Europe this summer. He was not part of the management buyout of the business orchestrated in the US.
