Colliers expands in India with senior hire

The property consultancy has appointed Ravi Ahuja as executive director for investment sales and office services functions in India.

Property advisory firm Colliers International has appointed Ravi Ahuja as the executive director for investment sales and office services in India as the firm looks to expand its services in the country.

Ahuja will be based in Mumbai and will be responsible for driving the business strategy of the office services, and establish investment sales and land functions in the country, the firm said in a statement announcing the appointment. He will be working in partnership with George McKay, the director for office and integrated services for South Asia at Colliers.

Ahuja has over 20 years of real estate experience across India in transactions and advisory services for investors, developers and occupiers. He has joined Colliers from Cushman & Wakefield where he spent 17 years in different executive leadership roles in the country in consulting, transactions, project management and property management. He in fact started his career at Colliers International and spent close to four years before moving on to Cushman & Wakefield.

“Colliers India welcomes Ravi back to us at a key time in our journey – as we strive to further capture market share in all our major transaction verticals. Ravi’s broad and varied experience will be a huge asset to Colliers and to me personally as we go to the next level in the rapidly expanding India property services market,” McKay told the Economic Times.
