In PERE Research & Analytics’ 2013 Global Investor Sentiment Survey, we found that our survey respondents deemed London as the most attractive city in the world for new real estate investments. This week we decided to take a closer look at what’s happening in the real estate market in the UK.

Looking at the past six-years, we found that investor preference for UK focused funds has remained relatively stable. Besides the year directly following the global financial crisis, fundraising for UK focused funds has averaged around $2.8 billion in capital raised per year, demonstrating that investors have consistently felt confident in the real estate market of the country.

A few UK focused funds that have been recently closed include the UK Real Estate Recovery Fund managed by Aviva Investors, the Consensus Capital Social Housing Fund managed by Consensus Capital, and the Prime London Residential Development Fund managed by Cordea Savills.
