John Carrafiell, senior advisor to Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing has formed Alpha Real Estate Advisors, an advisory practice.
The firm is the vehicle through which the former global co-head will take up board-level consultancies and advisory work, according to UK commercial real estate magazine Property Week. London-based Carrafiell stepped down from his position in January.
Recently he advised MSREF investment Songbird Estates, on equity raising from a consortium including Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund Qatar Holding and China Investment Corporation to repay an £880 million loan to Citi.
