Biren Amin, a former head of real estate opportunity funds at AXA Real Estate Investment Managers, has joined European asset manager, Alpstar Capital.
He takes on a newly-created position, head of real estate, to expand Alpstar’s business in Spain and the rest of Europe.
Bertrand Pinel, Alpstar’s chief executive, said Amin’s appointment showed the firm’s commitment to real estate investment and advisory work. “He brings the talent we need to drive our real estate business forward in Spain and throughout Europe”.
Separately, Alpstar Capital said today it had received formal regulatory approval from the UK’s Financial Services Authority to launch its London office.
