ATRS approves $50m commitment

The US public pension has backed Long Wharf Capital's sixth series value-add real estate fund.

Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has agreed to commit $50 million to Long Wharf Real Estate Partners VI, a contact at the pension informed PERE. The fund is targeting value-add retail, industrial, office and residential property in the US.

The $17.58 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to real estate that currently stands at 7.80 percent.

As illustrated below, ATRS has made six commitments to real estate funds with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $258.7 million.
