    • PERE: A Decade

Looking back over the last 10 years of the private equity real estate market.
Whether you call us P-E-R-E, pear, P-E-re or even Peray, it doesn’t really matter. Born in print in April 2005, these four letters have become synonymous with a sector that has grown exponentially in the eyes of the global institutional community. We would like to think our publication has grown with it.

In that 10 years, PERE has enjoyed privileged access to many of the most influential individuals in the private real estate universe. It is something we have never taken for granted and is something for which we are eternally grateful. Through this exposure, we have been able to bring you, our valued reader, a unique vantage point to examine how the world’s largest pools of capital are thinking about the asset class and, in turn, what those folk who care about that are doing about it.

To thank you for supporting our coverage of your sector, and to celebrate the fact we’ve been able to do it for a decade now, we have put together a selection of articles we feel highlights the journey private real estate has made, creating a special, one-off magazine called PERE: A DECADE. In it, you’ll be able to trawl through the most-read news stories of the period as well as remind yourselves of some of our most popular profile interviews.

The magazine is packed to the rafters and also includes guest commentaries from the likes of Blackstone’s Jon Gray, KKR co-founder George Roberts and ADIA real estate head Bill Schwab. There’s also an interview with the man behind the world’s biggest property deal, Sam Zell; a special report on the genesis of PERE and; a 100-most influential persons ranking that we’re confident will provoke as much as it intrigues.
