On Friday evening, PERE was recognized as best commercial trade magazine by the National Association of Real Estate Editors. Senior editor Erik Kolb was in attendance at the trade organization’s 48th annual real estate journalism conference in Houston to receive the award on behalf of the magazine.
The awards competition was judged by journalism faculty of the EW Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. The judges considered such criteria as clarity of writing, objectivity, originality, depth of reporting and design, as well as the overall graphics presentation, in making their determination.
In awarding first place to PERE, the judges said: “This slick publication offers news analysis, attractive design and considerable industry data on market trends. Particularly useful are the regional round-ups, with a wealth of information.”
